IN MY LIFE:
Is your family frantic? Do you ever get tired of answering with “busy” when someone asks how you’re doing? Then I have a tip for you…

I always get asked how I “do it all” (spoiler alert: I don’t). Believe me, there are things you do every day and I have no idea how you do it either! The trick is to lean into your strengths and prioritize.

Ten years ago, a book came out that really helped us with this: it’s called The 3 Big Questions for a Frantic Family. The first 2/3 of the book is a fable and the last 1/3 walks you through how to implement what the fable illustrated.

It comes from Patrick Lencioni who is a leadership genius and finally took some of the business principles he mastered and applied them to the family unit. What I love is that it gives you an opportunity to create a Family Scoreboard, complete with a rallying cry and objectives to accomplish whatever it is you feel is most important that quarter.

Even if you don’t readjust every quarter, the exercise is valuable and will give your family a great place to start. I cannot recommend it highly enough. You can find it on Amazon here (affiliate link): https://amzn.to/2y8EMYQ
