What started as a quick recap of the new Avatar movie turned into a hilarious takeover by my teen son…

IN THE NEWS:

  • World Cup semifinals began
  • 15 million people under winter weather alerts
  • Cher lost her mom
  • National Ice Cream Day

IN THE WORD:

Never believe that the so-called ‘random’ events of life are anything less than God’s appointed order – Oswald Chambers

IN MY LIFE:

On yesterday’s Daily Dash I promised you a recap of the new Avatar movie. I did a 7-minute honest review immediately after watching the 3+ hour film last night (https://www.samicone.com/honest-avatar-the-way-of-water-review/), but my intent was to give you a shorter version today.

Instead, my 16-year-old son, Britton, ended up driving up while I stated filming the dash today, ran over, hopped in the car and not only shared his thoughts on the Avatar franchise, but we riffed on a lot of other topics as well, including friends, Christmas gifts for teens, Beats vs. AirPods, dinner tonight, and so much more.

This was one for the record books! I’m not saying you have to listen to the entire 20 minutes, but I highly recommend staying long enough to listen to his prayer for everyone today.

PRAYER FOCUS: Peace

Find ways to personally practice peace. For my son, that means going to workout at the gym after tests before coming home to study again.
