Raising Uncommon Kids

Raising Uncommon Kids Cover

Raising Uncommon Kids: 12 Biblical Traits You Need to Raise Selfless Kids turns parenting upside down. In order to raise world-changers the shift must first take place at home.

In this unique book, Sami Cone shows parents a new way to look at molding their children, one in which focusing on adding good behaviors and attitudes is more powerful than eliminating bad ones. Grounding her advice in Scripture–specifically the twelve characteristics found in Colossians 3:12-17–Cone offers plenty of stories from her own life to show these principles in action. And she offers practical things parents can do right now to create a home and family that exhibits love, harmony, and generosity of spirit in a self-centered world.

NIV Devotional Bible for Women

Did I write the Bible? No.
Was I asked to contribute two devotions to this Devotional Bible for women? Yes.

But I’m not the only one; you’ll find incredible devotionals from some of your favorite female Christian authors. This makes a great resource for you and an even better gift, especially for a graduation or young woman going off to college.

“The NIV Bible for Women contains an inspiring foreword by Shauna Niequist and writings by women who want to share their experiences—their joys and their struggles—with you.”

Books I’ve Endorsed

In addition to the books I wrote above, you’ll find my endorsement written in the pages of the books below. Not only do I consider these women friends, they are incredible women of God who teach me through their words and their daily walk.

Walk it Out

by Tricia Goyer

Women often pack their lives with family, friends, and faithful service, yet still end up feeling empty and unfulfilled. In Walk It Out, Tricia Goyer demonstrates to women that walking out the mandates of Scripture allows God to spark passion and mission within them.

When women stop focusing on their own dreams and purposes, and instead focus on God’s dreams and purposes, everything changes.

Fight for Her

by Plumb

Drawn from the generational lessons of both being and having a daughter, in each chapter Plumb explores fundamental questions and issues every girl and woman face with both depth and levity. Her sense of humor and down to earth life lessons draw us to hold on to Jesus and each other with full hearts, wanting the best for each other. With thoughtful questions in every chapter, FIGHT FOR HER offers an empowering, encouraging and enriching read both as a standalone book and small group discussion.

{Plus, you’ll see my beautiful daughter’s picture in the back of the book!}

Fight for Her is a moving challenge to women of all ages to fight for each other… even if that means fighting WITH each other. With love. With hope. And with bucket loads of grace.

Raising a Lady in Waiting

by Jackie Kendall

Jackie Kendall has been my spiritual mama for over 20 years. As lucky as I am to have her in my life, I’ve always admired her stance on mentors.

She taught me early that she was mentored by the best of the best through all the books she read. Just like we hear the voice of God when we read His word, we hear the heart of the spiritual giants when we read their books.

This book in particular is a follow-up to Jackie’s best-selling, “Lady in Waiting“. She’s authored so many other incredible titles: check out Jackie’s Books on Amazon.
