The Daily Dash: September 1, 2017 {Flooding in Nashville & Support Houston with Project 615}

* Tropical Storm Harvey reached Nashville, causing flash floods and canceled school
* Harriet Tubman $20 bill not a priority for Trump
* National College Colors Day

There is no confusion in Christ ~ Oswald Chambers

After a night filled with tornado and flash flood warnings, we woke up to discover school had been canceled. Thankfully, we’re not experiencing anything like the flood of 2010 or even what Houston is going through, but we definitely felt the wrath of Harvey here in Nashville.

That being said, we ended up with an unexpected day off that ended up including an impromptu lunch with some of Kariss’ teachers at Plaza Mariachi near us.

I’m also excited to announce that September on The Daily Dash will be a month of Project 615 once again. My eclipse shirt I’m wearing today is by Project 615, and they have so many more creative and comfortable designs. But the best part about them is that they employ the under-resourced and, through September 4, Project 615 is donating 10% of all profits to help those struggling in Houston…so go shop!
