- Shirred Mesh Drop Waist Maxi in Deep Teal ($178)
This is my number one pick, hands down. Deep teal is the perfect jewel-tone fall color, rich enough to feel seasonal, but not the brown or burgundy everyone else will be wearing. The shirred bodice and dropped waist give it a current, of-the-moment silhouette instead of that “formalwear department” feel a lot of wedding guest dresses have. This might be the most “me” dress in the entire collection. Navy is a wedding guest classic, but the scarf-print detail and godet skirt give it so much personality and movement, especially on video. The flutter sleeves are a nice touch too, and this is the kind of dress that photographs just as well in real life as it does on Instagram. - Cowl Neck Scarf Print Maxi in Monaco Harbor ($168)
Macy’s specifically features this one in their Avec Les Filles wedding guest edit, and it’s easy to see why. The draped, fringed neckline gives it an editorial, expensive-looking finish without the expensive price tag. This is a great option if you want something that feels a little more elevated for a formal fall wedding. - Boat Neck Satin Gown in Autumn Zebra ($178)
This is the fashion-forward pick of the group. The dramatic cascading sleeve, satin fabrication, and bias cut make it feel like a true fall moment, even though the print runs a little warmer than what I usually gravitate toward. Macy’s also places this one directly in their wedding shop, and it’s the dress I’d pick if I wanted to make an entrance. - Strapless Bodice Chiffon Combo Dress in Aqua (currently $75.13)
This is my wildcard pick, and I love it because it proves fall wedding dressing doesn’t have to mean brown, olive, or burgundy. The structured satin bodice paired with a pleated chiffon skirt and detachable scarf feels really runway-inspired, and that current price makes it an easy yes. - Aqua V-Neck Lace-Up Bias Gown (currently around $50)
I’m adding this one in as a sixth pick because it’s such an attainable option without watering down the aesthetic of the whole collection. If you want the same fall wedding guest look on a smaller budget, start here.

Every time I need a fall wedding guest dress, Avec Les Filles at Macy’s is one of the first places I look. The prints feel elevated and European instead of costume-y, the silhouettes are flattering without being fussy, and the price points make it easy to say yes to a dress you might only wear once or twice a season.
