Lighting on the Green

Looking for a fun & Free Christmas Event? Head over to Lipscomb University (in Nashville) for their annual Lighting on the Green event tonight!

We happened upon this free event last year and it was the perfect kickoff to the Christmas season! The concert is hosted by Amy Grant and includes a lot of other great musicians singing all your Christmas favorites. I just called and it seems that even the rain won’t stop it – the concert will be held inside Allen Arena and starts at 5:30pm.

Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010
All activities held inside Allen Arena
Shuttles to arena available from Stokes School property

Merry Marketplace, 1 p.m.-8 p.m.
Photos with Santa, 3:30 p.m.-7 p.m.
Concert, 5:30 p.m.

Kick off the Christmas season once again this year at Lipscomb’s Lighting of the Green, hosted by Amy Grant.
Thousands of Christmas lights on the Allen Arena mall
Cookies and hot cocoa
Holiday music by Dave Barnes, Susan Ashton,
The Black Nativity ensemble and other special guest stars
Holiday gifts at the Merry Marketplace
Carols sung by Lipscomb students
Free photos with Santa Claus
Lighting of the 35-foot Christmas tree
Fellowship with friends and family

The event is free and open to the entire Nashville community.
Due to inclement weather, all activities have been moved inside Allen Arena.
Shuttles to the arena will be available at the Stokes School preperty on Belmont Boulevard.
