The Free Country Music Hall of Fame Community Day is back on Saturday, February 4, 2012!

The Country Music Hall of Fame will be open from 9am-5pm. Here are the activities planned for the day:

Family Program: Musical Petting Zoo
11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
SunTrust Community Room
Bang a drum, strum an autoharp, and pick a banjo! Our Musical Petting Zoo offers budding musicians a chance to try new and familiar instruments. Instructors will be on site to offer guidance. All ages. No reservations required.
Hatch Show Print Demonstration
11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Hall of Fame Rotunda
Hatch Show Print is one of the oldest working letterpress print shops in America. The designers invite visitors to observe a letterpress printing demonstration. Bringing along their antique printing press, the Hatch Show Print designers will hand-crank a commemorative printed memento for visitors to take home as a Ford Day keepsake.
Songwriter Session: Erin Enderlin and Jim “Moose” Brown
11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
Ford Theater
Enderlin wrote “Monday Morning Church” (Alan Jackson), and songs recorded by Lee Ann Womack, Luke Bryan, Trace Adkins, and others. Grammy-winning songwriter Brown penned “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” (Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffett) and songs recorded by Jamey Johnson, Martina McBride, Josh Turner, and others.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Autograph Signing: Oak Ridge Boys*
12:00 p.m.
Museum Store
The Oak Ridge Boys will sign their product, purchased from the Museum Store, on Saturday, February 4 at 12:00 p.m.  Live from the Museum Store is presented by CMT.

Autograph Signing Guidelines

  • An autograph voucher is required to participate in the signing.
  • The Oak Ridge Boys will only sign their product, purchased in the Museum Store. A voucher will be included in transaction at time of product purchase.
  • There is no limit number of CDs and books that the Oak Ridge Boys will sign.
  • The Oak Ridge Boys will not sign personal items.
  • Lean-in photographs will be allowed (no group photos).
  • Bags and items from other sources are prohibited in the Museum Store. Fans may check items in Guest Services if necessary.
  • All guests must maintain reasonable and appropriate behavior at all times. Guests using offensive language or engaging in disorderly conduct may be ejected from the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum and barred from re-entry

 

 

Concert and Autograph Signing: Hunter Hayes
Concert: 2:00 p.m. Curb Conservatory
Autograph Signing 3:00 p.m. Museum Store
*Recently nominated for ACM’s New Artist of the Year. His success includes tour appearances with Trace Adkins, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, and Keith Urban, and songwriting credits for Montgomery Gentry and Rascal Flatts. Hayes released his self-titled album late last year, writing every song including the lead single “Storm Warning.” Made possible by Ford Motor Company Fund.

Hunter Hayes will sign his CD, Hunter Hayes, purchased from the Museum Store.  Artist product purchase required to participate.  Live from the Museum Store is presented by CMT.
