Gaylord Opryland Resort if officially back and we got to be there!

Yes, it’s true. Ricky and I are thrilled to let you all know that not only is Gaylord Opryland open for business again, but they are bigger and better than ever.

This weekend is their official grand re-opening after a six and a half month renovation following the devastating Nashville Flood. With a total of $270 million in rebuilding costs, the heart, drive and splendor of Gaylord Opryland is absolutely breathtaking.

The weekend kicked off with a lighting ceremony that featured highlights of all of their Country Christmas festivities and finished with a bang – literally! After Santa arrived on a float with Kris Kringle from “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” (the star of ICE! this year), the lights were turned on, fireworks blazed and the crowd roared.

They even had live Tweets on a big screen outside!

See my tweet on the screen???

I’ll be updating you all weekend with highlights of the renovation, as well as fabulous (and frugal!) ways your family can take part this Christmas.

Thanks for this amazing inside look at the happenings of the Opryland Hotel. Our family has always enjoyed coming to Nashville and look forward using your insights the next time we are in the Misic City. Keep up the good work Sami!
