Funny Girl Broadway Tour honest review

I was invited to attend the opening night of the Funny Girl Broadway Tour at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville on January 2.

The show honored the original while still dazzling modern audiences. But the real star of the show was the female lead as Fanny Brice. She showed incredible power and restraint, sometimes simultaneously. The tap dancing was a real treat as well.

If there was one critique, it was that the male lead couldn’t stand up to the star of his female counterpart. She truly stole the show.

Grab your tickets while you can for the show here in Nashville or when it comes to your hometown. Funny Girl lasts a little longer than most shows (2 hours and 30 minutes, plus a 15-minute intermission) and runs through January 7, 2024.
