I loved having Gigi Butler on my November episode of The Sami Cone Show. You may know her from Gigi’s Cupcakes, but she’s now returned to her first love: pies. Pies by Gigi opened this year in Brentwood, TN, but you can have her creations shipped anywhere in the US.

While her blackberry pie is my absolute favorite, I wanted Gigi to make an easy recipe perfect for fall. For her, that was a no-brainer: Gigi’s Blue Ribbon Pumpkin Bread.

Gigi’s Blue Ribbon Pumpkin Bread Recipe

This pumpkin bread recipe has been in Gigi’s family since the late 1800s, passed down from her great great grandmother. It’s one of her most beloved recipes.

Here is a quote from Gigi herself on how much she loves this bread and the great memories it reminds her of:

When I slice this bread it brings back warm memories—of working at my aunt’s elbow, of making my way through recipes with my mom, of laying out a Thanksgiving spread for the whole family. I love it so much I can eat almost a whole loaf in one sitting! (Seriously, I can!)

Put a slab of butter on it and…PERFECTION!
