The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did – Gen 39:2 NLT

What would you do if you knew everything you did would prosper…

Once A Day Bible Reading Plan & Devotion Day 25

Day 25 Devotion: Success in Everything

Twice in Genesis 39, we read how everything Joseph did prospered, first in the verse above and again at the end of the chapter:

The Lord was with him and caused everything he did to succeed ~ Gen 39:23b

But there was one key to his success: the Lord was with him.

The glory of the New Testament is it promises believers that if we’ve accepted Christ into our hearts, His Holy Spirit lives in us. If we follow this faith and logic, it only makes sense that we too will prosper when we keep the Lord at the center of all we do.

Remember, as we also read in these chapters, that doesn’t mean that we won’t have hardship, but that God will never leave us and His purpose is higher than our present circumstances.

So I ask you again, what would you do if you knew every thing you did would prosper? Perhaps the question I should ask is: what will you do?
