IN MY LIFE:
Last night my son and I got a sneak peek of “Ralph Breaks the Internet”. This is a sequel to Disney’s animated film, “Wreck it Ralph”.

While I wasn’t originally a fan of the first film, I came to enjoy it as my kids got older. I looked forward to the same quick wit in this film and, for the most part, got what I was looking for.

The movie started slowly and tried to reclaim many of the references everyone loved from the first installment. As the characters moved into the internet (literally), it was a beautiful barage of pop-culture. It’s my belief that this film may one day be referenced in Wikipedia for when people want to know what the year 2018 was like!

But my absolute favorite part of the movie (besides the end scene…yes, stay ALL the way to the end of the credits) was when Vanellope finds herself in the midst of all the Disney Princesses. Not only was it a clever commentary on the history of these lovely ladies, but a charming twist on what you’d typically expect from the princesses. And let me just say, I want each and every piece of clothing from the “Comfy Princess Squad” (which you can find on ShopDisney here: https://www.savings.com/z/gpgz)

Here is a synopsis of the movie:
In RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET, video-game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and best friend Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) leave the comforts of Litwak’s arcade in an attempt to save her game, Sugar Rush. Their quest takes them to the vast, uncharted world of the internet where they rely on the citizens of the internet—the Netizens—to help navigate their way. Lending a virtual hand are Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), the head algorithm and the heart and soul of the trend-making site “BuzzzTube,” and Shank (voice of Gal Gadot), a tough-as-nails driver from a gritty online auto-racing game called Slaughter Race, a place Vanellope wholeheartedly embraces—so much so that Ralph worries he may lose the only friend he’s ever had.
