When the Cloud Lifted: Devotion Day 43

Too often, we think of clouds as dark, gray and ominous. We see clouds as blocking the light. But in Exodus 40:34, we read that it wasn’t until the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting that the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

Then when the cloud lifted, the Israelites knew it was safe to set out. But if the cloud did not lift, they did not set out until it lifted.

The cloud represented God’s protection and guidance. His covering. His glory.

While our faith requires action, it also requires obedience. Make sure the steps you are taking today are under the covering of Christ.
