IN MY LIFE:
What a night last night! Our family embarked on a road trip to Knoxville with about 20 other friends from church to watch my UNC Tar Heels play the UT Vols. If you didn’t know, I earned my Master’s Degree from UNC, so we were a drop of blue in a sea of orange and it was AWESOME! Even though we were down almost the entire game, my Tar Heels pulled it out in the final minute and we won!
I’m so thankful we didn’t have to drive home after that emotional game; instead, we decided to make a quick family trip out of it. Thankfully, the newly-renovated “The Lodge at Five Oaks” invited us to stay with them and experience all that’s new about their Sevierville property. I’ll give you a full review after our stay, but right now I can say it’s one of the most convenient places we’ve stayed in the region in addition to being one of the best values for all they offer. (In fact, I’m sitting by the fireside drinking tea in their lobby while I craft this message!)
Once the kids wake up, we’ll head over to Dollywood to experience their Smoky Mountain Christmas. We already love Dollywood for their food, shows and hospitality, but it all amps up a notch over Christmas.
