Disney Channel’s newest series, Doc McStuffins, has quickly become a favorite in the Cone Home, so we were THRILLED when we had the chance to not only meet, but also interview, Doc McStuffins’ Creator & Executive Producer Chris Nee, along with Michele Jabloner-Weiss, Executive Director, Original Programming for Disney Junior!

What as even more exciting was that my 7 year old daughter, Kariss, was the one who got to do some of the interviewing. Watch:

Chris & Michelle couldn’t have been nicer, which proved not only the heart behind who’s creating these shows, but also the intentionality in making sure all programming on Disney Junior truly connects with its intended audience.

All this week, doc has been celebrating Doc McStuffins: Friendship is the Best Medicine Week featuring episodes highlighting Doc’s toy friends airing each day and the premiere of a new episode we’re watching right now, “Hallie’s Happy Birthday/Shark Style Toothache” where Doc throws a surprise birthday party for Hallie and gives a toy shark a check-up after he breaks his tooth in the bathtub.

“Doc McStuffins” airs at 10:00 a.m., ET/PT during Disney Channel’s Disney Junior programming block for kids age 2-7 and at 7:30 p.m., ET/PT on the new Disney Junior channel!

Love, love, love the show. We have 5 children ages 2-9 years old. Everything gets put on hold when doc is on. I even find myself singing the songs when the show is not even on.

They’re catchy, aren’t they?! I love changing the words to the songs too just to see if my kids notice (they always do!)

Hi, I love this concept to help kids with medical visits in order to quell their fears. I wrote a book about the same premise when it comes to medical imaging. I would love to contact Chris Nee and see how my book’s character can compliment. Thanks Jane

My 3 girls (ages 9,6,and3) all LOVE Doc McStuffins!! I am not ashamed that, I, too wait every morning for the show to come on! I can’t wait to plan summer activities based around the various shows and to also plan a Doc McStuffins birthday party for my 6 year old complete with her Doc’s coat and all of the shows cuteness! On a budget but fabulous!

I love that birthday party idea, Samantha! You’ll have to share pictures afterwards…I’d love to see them!

Love that you were able to meet and chat with the creators while at #DisneySMMoms. We haven’t checked it out yet, but we’ll definitely have to.
