If you love Lilly P, you know they only offer sales twice a year. The biggest is the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale which typically happens every January.
When is The Lilly Sunshine Sale?
The next Lilly Sunshine Sale is happening now, January 3-5!

Previous Lilly Sunshine Sales
The first 2023 Lilly Sunshine Sale happened January 5-6 online only. The previous Lilly Sunshine Sale was September 12-14, 2022.

The first Lilly Sunshine Sale of last year happened on January 3, 2022.
Yes, you read that right. The January 2022 Lilly Sunshine Sale was ONE DAY ONLY.
That Lilly sale was only online and in signature stores. Lilly Pulitzer retail stores did not participate.
We typically see a smaller version of APS in September. But the first ever Lilly Sunshine Sale happened September 12-14, 2021.
- September 12: shop the Lilly Sunshine sales in select stores
- September 13-14: shop the Lilly sunshine sale online
Splash of Sunshine Sale
Lilly surprised us again by adding a “Splash of Sunshine Sale”. This sale is also one-day and online only. The first Splash of Sunshine Sale is Monday, April 18 right after Easter.
How to Shop the Sunshine Sale
In addition to shopping the Sunshine Sale in participating signature stores, you’ll want to get ready to shop in multiple ways online.
I typically prefer shopping Lilly sales on my laptop. But if you want to be the first to get all the sale updates and new drops, make sure you download the Lilly Pulitzer app.
What Happened to the After Party Sale?
Honestly, I don’t know. I know the website says the Lilly Sunshine Sale is formerly known as the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale, so only time will tell.
Whatever it’s called, I’m thankful Lilly did not do away with their iconic sale after New Year’s.
Lilly Sunshine Sale 2024 Details
- WHAT: formerly known as the After Party Sale, this Lilly Pulitzer sale only happens a couple times each year
- WHEN: January 3-5, 2024
- TIME: Start shopping online at 8AM ET (the sale ends promptly at 11:59 PM ET)
- WHERE TO SHOP: LillyPulitzer.com and in signature stores (check local stores for special hours)
- SAVINGS: usually between 50-75% off
As with any Lilly Pulitzer sale, I always recommend going to your local Lilly store to make sure you try on things before the sale. All online purchases are final sale, so you need to know what size you wear in your favorite styles.
It’s also good to have an idea of what you’re wanting to buy before the sale starts. Because shipping is free with orders of $25 or more, I also recommend checking out often. If you leave something in your tote, chances are it won’t stay in there long before selling out.
Lilly Pulitzer App or Lilly Pulitzer Online?
On the morning of the sale, I got in the Sunshine Sale within minutes on the Lilly Pulitzer App. However, I had to wait almost 50 minutes on LillyPulitzer.com on my laptop.
Wait time on the Lilly Pulitzer App when joining the sale right at 8 AM ET: 1 Minute (only 93 guests ahead of me)
Wait time on the LillyPulitzer.com when joining the sale right at 8 AM ET: 1 Hour+ (55502 ahead of me)
While I prefer shopping on my laptop because it lets me see details more clearly, if I had waited that long, I would have missed out on some of my top styles.

Favorite Lilly Colors
Sometimes I just search for specific colors during the sale because I know they will go with the other pieces I have and they are timeless. Keep in mind, typical colors have different names in the Lilly Pulitzer world:

Even though the Lilly Sunshine Sale lasts two days, popular styles and sizes sell out quickly, so you really need to jump on as soon as the sale opens on the first day.
Lilly will release new styles on the second day (though they don’t specify the time). I checked around 9am CT on day two and found most of those styles were already sold out in my size already.

Be sure to not just try on at your local boutique but to buy from them as well…if they aren’t kept in business you won’t have somewhere to try things on! The sale is IN-STORE ONLY STARTING SUNDAY at signature (boutique, mom-n-pop) stores, then in-store and at their websites Monday and Tuesday. Shop Small 🥰🛍
