monday-meal-planHappy New Year! I’m back with Monday’s Meal Plan for January 2nd.

Have you made any New Year’s resolutions to start eating healthier? Perhaps to save more money on your grocery budget? One way to do both is to have a plan!

If you’re new to meal planning, just start out with a few go-to items that your family loves and put those on your calendar. Then mix in a few new dishes here and there, and you’ll soon find you’ll have less complaining about what’s for dinner and more money in your wallet.

We’ve found that even though our meals may not be as glamorous, sticking with what we know keeps us within calories and budget. We’re still doing our Cinch shakes for breakfast and some lunches, so keep that in mind if you’re looking for a fast, healthy meal on the go.

Also, you’ll want to be sure to tune into Talk of the Town this Thursday at 11am CST to see my “Healthy Eating on a Budget” segment featuring a Winter Lentil Chili recipe. On Wednesday, January 5th, I’ll be kicking off a new video series here on SamiCone.com in conjunction with Whole Foods Market; we’ll be helping you find the easiest ways to eat healthy on less!

Remember, you can always just use what you see below as inspiration if you’re not thrilled with our offerings or you can check out my meal plan archives. Another great resource is my video series on cleaning out the pantry for a healthier you!
