The new Disney Mary Poppins Returns movie trailer and poster have just been released! The highly-anticipated film (& long-awaited sequel to the original Mary Poppins film that starred Julie Andrews & Dick van Dyke) will now feature Emily Blunt & Lin-Manuel Miranda in this musical extravaganza that will hit theaters December 25, 2018!

Isn’t the poster absolutely fetching? I love the nods to the original film style while obviously introducing us to a new cast of characters.
Earlier this year I made the initial announcement that Mary Poppins Returns would hit theaters in December 2018, but now we are finally getting our first look at the movie poster and the trailer!

Can you stand it? I’m not sure how I can wait until Christmas for all this goodness! It looks like they are truly embracing this beloved film while introducing a new storyline to a modern audience.

Of course, where would Mary Poppins be (or should I say, how would she get anywhere) without her trusty umbrella, Polly, and her carpet bag. My son ADORED Polly from the age of two and even made Mary go back and get it when we met her at Walt Disney World and she didn’t have it with her. It was a moment we’ll never forget (and yes, she indulged him).
